My Dragon/Hornet will not turn On

If your Hornet or Dragon is not turning On, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot.
  1. Typically, the device needs to be charged. For the Dragon, place it on a Qi Charger. The blue light indicates that it is charging. For the Hornet, use a micro-USB cable to charge it. Again, the blue light indicates that it's charging
  2. If charging does not resolve the problem, try resetting it. To do so, hold down the blue button on the Dragon/Hornet for 10 seconds. At 10 seconds, a little buzz sound is made, followed by alternating blue and white lights. 
  3. Finally, consider if there's a chance that the device suffered water damage. The Dragon and Hornet are water resistant, but not waterproof. If the device suffered water damage, it may stop working.

Why isn't my Dragon or Hornet beeping?

If your Hornet or Dragon is not beeping, please check the following:
  • Does it beep when you hold down the button to turn it On (2 Beeps) or Off (3 Beeps)? 
    • YES: Please jump to the next section
    • NO: The device likely needs to be charged. For the Hornet, plug in a Micro-USB charging cable and recharge. For the Dragon, please place the Dragon on a Qi Charging Pad. For both, a full recharge will take roughly 2.5 hours.
  • When you open the app and tap on a device to go to the device page, does the Hornet/Dragon show any range? Does it connect and allow you to press the "Beep" and "Flash" buttons on the screen?
    • If it does, and pressing the Beep feature does not trigger noise on the Dragon/Hornet, please try resetting the device.
      • To do so, hold down the blue button on the Dragon/Hornet for 10 seconds. At 10 seconds, a little buzz sound is made, followed by alternating blue and white lights. 
    • If the Hornet/Dragon does not beep after resetting it, please reach out to our support team at support@pebblebee.com.

How do I remove a device?

To remove a device from an account, unclaim it. Unclaiming is easy, and does not require the device to be present.

Android and iOS:
  1. Launch the app. 
  2. From the Hive page, swipe the device that you want to delete to the left of the page.
  3. A pop-up will ask you to confirm that you want to Unclaim your device.
  4. The device can now be claimed by another account.


What if I don't have the same phone anymore?

That's okay! Since devices are claimed to accounts, not the actual phone, you don't need the original phone. Using any compatible phone, download the app and sign in to your account, then continue with the unclaiming process.
 

What isn't my Dragon/Hornet showing up in the app?

The most common reason the device is not showing as in range in the app is because the device is turned Off or needs recharging.

To make sure the Dragon/Hornet is On: 
Push the multi function button and hold it for 5 seconds to turn on the device. You will hear two beeps when it is turned on. If you hear three quick beeps the device is turned off. In that case, try turning it on again.

If the Dragon or Hornet is not listed at all in the Hive and is not showing, there are two possible reasons:

1. You previously unclaimed the device, so it is no longer attached to your account. If this is the case, simply claim it like new.

2. You've logged in to a different account than the one your device is claimed in. Make sure you've logged in to the correct account using the right name or email address.
